Sydney - Australians have sex twice as often as Japanese but are way behind top-of-the-league Greeks and the citizens of 13 other countries, including India, China, South Africa and Malaysia, a survey released Tuesday showed. Australians have sex 106 times a year, above the average for 26 countries worked out after a phone survey of 26,000 people for the condom maker Durex.

The survey found 42 per cent of Australians were happy with their sex lives - the same as China, Switzerland and Britain. In contrast, respondents in Nigeria, Mexico and India reported satisfaction above 60 per cent.

The Global Sexual Wellbeing 2006-07 Survey, to be presented this week at the World Congress on Sexual Health in Sydney, showed twice as many men as women were achieving orgasm.

Australia was among 16 countries - including the United States, Germany, Thailand, Russia and South Africa - where more than half the respondents were recording regular orgasms. The poorest performers in this regard, at just a quarter of respondents, were in China and Hong Kong.

Surely the funds could be better spent on more priority initiatives e.g combating aids....

There is far much more important thing to worry about than sex....

Sadly the countries topping the least also have a far higher AIDS rate & motality !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
