NEW YORK, April 14 Toyota's North American marketing chief said in New York that he is contemplating designing all future models with push-button starters.The New York International Auto Show features about 55 car models from various makers that have a keyless starting system, The New York Times reported Saturday.The cars, manufactured by Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Nissan and Toyota, all use push-button starters that are found on a key fob right next to the lock and unlock buttons. But for the car to start, the fob has to be close to the dashboard.Toyota marketing guru James D. Farley said he has recently been considering building all future models with push-button starters."What keeps me awake?" he asked recently. "Car keys." Push-button starters date all the way back to 1913, when the Locomobile became one of the first cars to use the device.
