Former "American Idol" star Gina Glocksen is all set to receive the keys to Naperville as her hometown prepares to give her a rousing homecoming parade.
Glocksen was voted off 'Idol' on April 4 and said she was learning to cope with her ouster. However Naperville believes that she is the true Idol and has planned a fitting homecoming for the 22-year-old.
"I really was surprised. I wasn't expecting (the dismissal) so much," Glocksen said. Mayor George Pradel said Glocksen could receive the key on Wednesday, but the arrangements must be approved by Fox as she is still under contract with the network.
"I think it'd be great to let people know that she's in town," Pradel said. "I think she was better than the rest of them. I don't think she should have been voted off."
