Daniel Radcliffe, the reel life Harry Potter has turned out to be much more normal than was previously thought. In a candid interview arranged to promote Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Radcliffe admitted that he had grown up along with Harry.
"It's been an odd five years but it's been great. I've been through all the same stuff as Harry - like the hormones and everything. I've been doing it since I was 11, so it makes it easier in the long run," Radcliffe said. His co-stars, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson have also matured into strong teenagers who can confidently handle the press.
Sometimes, the trio does not have to act at all, "It felt like I didn't have to act at times. I know Hermione so well. There's so much of her in me, and me in her. It's been wonderful and I'm very fond of Hermione's character. She's turning into someone that people can identify with and she's a great role model," said Emma Watson.
But the main attention was on Radcliffe who said, "I watched the film Garden State quite recently and fell in love with Natalie Portman. Or I would take Scarlett Johansson too." He said that either of these two awesome women would be his ideal date for the Hogwarts Yule Ball. Asked where he would take them, Radcliffe replied that he as like a typical guy who did not know what to do, "I have been filled with all the same emotions as Harry, having gone through the hormones thing relatively recently. So all that has been fresh in my mind," he admitted.
He denied that the films had changed their lives drastically and said that they felt famous only on the day of the premiers, "Having said that it's a possibility that may change once we turn 18 because perhaps the paparazzi and photographers have maybe been going easy on us, it might change but hopefully it will continue."
