Despite reports that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline would make up to $6-million on their baby through the sale of photos, a string of endorsements and even a TV show of their son, Sean Preston's early life, atleast two websites have jumped others in making the photos public.
The images that appeared on the Internet are believably stolen from a private photo shoot, causing the celebrity pair to threaten legal action.
The photos that appeared on Internet one month after the baby's birth included one with Britney Spears embracing a baby another with her cheek-to-cheek with the baby, which according Spears' record label Jive, were taken from a private photo session.
A statement issued by Britney's publicist read : "Anyone who publishes, sells or otherwise exploits any of these images in any way will be subject to liability and damages for wilful infringement of copyright, and will be liable for invasion of privacy".
Only recently, the couple made their first public appearance since their child's birth revealing that Britney had regained her pre-pregnancy form to become a “yummy mummy,” as have the likes of Kate Winslet and other celebrity mothers.
Until now, no clear images of Sean Preston had been available, the emergence of the leaked Internet images indicates that the photo shoot pictures were intended for one of the celebrity magazine publications. By Friday, the threat of legal action had caused a number of websites to remove the photos.
A New York Post report suggested that the 23-year old pop sensation Spears backed out of a photo-deal with People magazine for her baby, after an emotional outburst that "she was selling out her baby”, though the magazine itself denied the purchase.
Whether it was the same pictures intended for the People magazine that have been identified as stolen is unclear. However, what seems amply clear is that the media is clamoring for photos of mother and baby, whether stolen or otherwise. At just one month old, baby Sean Preston seems to be in the spotlight already.
Since her rise to celebrity status, Spears has been camera friendly as long as her cut was assured in photo-deals. About a year ago she made planty of cash after a “big deal” with exclusive pictures of her own wedding.
More recently the couple managed to garner a tidy $3-million for personal camcorder footage that they sold to the UPN reality series. Britney and Kevin, now all set to feature on their reality show 'Britney and Kevin: Chaotic' also have tied up to include footage of the birth and first days of Sean Preston for another $1.5-million.
But it remains to see what comes of the legal threat against the Internet images, even as Sean Preston's name takes on new hues after a smoothie drink was named after him at his grand-dad's Californian café JJ Chill.
The fat-free frozen yoghurt drink with strawberries and mangoes possibly has more to do with his future weaning foods (that his celebrity mom is likely to whip up after lessons from her dad).
Meanwhile, baby Sean Preston Spears Federline in all likelihood sleeps blissfully unaware of the ruckus that his pictures are creating and or the lovely tropical flavor that his smoothies take.

I think that not putting sean's pictures on the net is a waste of time. No celebrity is going to have total privacy and there will be a time when they slip up and someone gets photographs. That's the price you pay for being famous so you might as well put them on the net.

I believe that Briteny should choose weather or not her son should be shown to the public yet. It's not like we haven't seen a baby before. Shes probably busy getting use to the routine of having a baby. Why are you people ubsessd with seeing her new baby? Preston is a normal human being.
by the way What is brit's site ...and she looks great.

I think its really stupid of Britney to keep that precious baby boy from the public eye because no matter what there is always going to be someone snapping pics. And the threatening will always continue. The world was there when Britney and Keven decided to do Chaotic and exposed to the world their sex life and now that a baby is in the picture their lives become secret. NOT HAPPENING, get over it. They might as well publish the photos and claim the money before some stupid idiot decides to invade their privacy and get the money. AVOID the hassel. Britney is very loved by the public and so is this baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well call me crazy but she knew what was going to happen when she had the baby, and if she was going to sell the pictures herself then I don't see what the big deal is.............oh wait that's right she is not getting paid for it !! Well it's really up to her on what she wants to do with the whole situation but she dug her hole now she has to fill it herself.

Britney, like everyone who does not have their own child, did not have a clue of how her life is changed until looking into the eyes of her own child. What counts now is the number one rule of having fun; don't p*** off mom.

I think regardless of the situation..if Britney doesn't want the pictures out for the world to see..then no one has any right to have them ..if she does.. the day will come...EVERYONE just needs to relax and wait until the parents of the child are ready. It's funny actually, the world is always complaining about not caring about Britney and calling her "trashy" and "not ready" for a child yet everyone is dying to see pictures of her new baby that she can not mother? if people don't care for the situation and don't want to hear about her... then please for the sake of GOD don't come on this..or any websites that involve Britney herself, kevin or the cute little son that we are yet to see! ..alright see ya

Interest in Celebrity Babies is indicative of a compulsive U.S. society

I agree with the sentiment that the U.S. interest in celebrity babies undercuts real and more germane problems like our disaster victims.
What scares me more is that all this interest in babies and the celebrity "yummy mummies" have the money to hire personal trailers, personal chefs, costly spa treatments, and get liposuction/tummy tucks after giving birth--let's not forget the nannies (yes, plural), so they are at a distinct advantage over "regular new moms" that don't have those wonderful resources.
Imagine how much worse the post-partum depression could get for some new moms who see a flat tummy on a new celebrity mom within a month after giving birth!
Imagine the seed celebrity moms are planting in the minds of their female fans, especially the fanatical ones, to have babies--hence, there could be a rise in teenie-bopper pregnancies to emulate "yummy-mummies" like the stars!
Girls, keep in mind that when you have kids you are essentially producing more consumers for this country. More consumers to buy more ridiculous celebrity gossip magazines, music, DVDs, fashion lines, etcetera.
My suggestion for every parent out there is to have your child take a MEDIA LITERACY class or at least discuss media literacy with them.

i just got done reading an article where she claims she wants her baby to have a normal life. holding out to the highest bidder for the babys pics does not fall into that category to me. i mean i know she needs to support the dead beat daddy somehow but getting 2 or 3 million a pop for a picture come on why is america waisting our money this way maybe we should pay our millatary members more money if we have so much to waist god knows they support their familys on less then minimum waige life is cruel.

Blood in the water leads to the sharks' feeding frenzy. She was once a cute little girl but now has turned into a hideous media monger. She put herself in that situation and now must live with it. Let's face it, she's pissed not that the baby's pics are made public, but that she's not in on the dime! She's from Louisiana, I believe, and she has done what exactly to help with the REAL crisis there?

We, the public, could care less about Brit's baby or any of the other celeb babies. We have to worry about just being able to provide enough for our own kids to eat. We don't want to be bombarded with photo's of children who are going to grow up spoiled and to rotten for thier own good. So please, lay off the the over rated celeb's and their babies.

Sean Preston's stolen pics

IMO the best thing Brit could have done is either to just publish baby Preston's pics on her www, or hire a photog, and set up a dark room in her $$$mansion, so she could oversee the process of developing the pics and make sure something like this never happened. If she feels she's selling her baby, she could just donate the money she got from the pics to one of the many worthy causes out there in Preton's name. If she doesn't do something soon, she will be a hostage to those papparazzis and anyone close enough to her with a camera.
