HOUSTON, Feb. 24 A metal baking sheet from a Houston elementary school has become an object of veneration for hundreds of Catholics who see an image of the Virgin Mary.The pan bearing what many believe is a miraculous religions image is now on display in the yard of Sylvia Calderon, a member of the PTA at Pugh Elementary School, the Houston Chronicle reported. Calderon gave the baking sheet a home after officials at the school said they could not accommodate the crowds who wanted to see it.Guadalupe Rodriguez, a cafeteria worker at the school, discovered the image on Ash Wednesday as she cleaned off baking trays. She showed it to other workers who agreed that they saw the Virgin.By Thursday, word of the find had gotten around and visitors started arriving at the cafeteria in droves. The pan was moved to Calderon's house.School officials also believe it is a miracle, even though they can't accommodate it.I think someone was watching over us, said Lyda Guerrero, Pugh ' s principal. God bless Mary our Mother, and her many visits to our world to reveal herself to each one of us, and to find comfort for she is our beloved Mother whom Jesus gave to us as our Mother when He stated to John at his death on the cross--- "Son behold your mother, Mother behold your son." As a loving Mother she will intercede to Jesus with your requests. I feel very sorry for those who do not understand how through the grace of God, she has become our Heavenly Mother--and criticize something they cannot comprehend. My God bless your hearts with His understanding, love, and peace.

Apparently crowds wanted to see the baking sheet.
The school's population is obviously Catholic.
Mathew Cross's reaction, "Every child in that school has been deluded and traumatized by this in ways that they are incapable of recognizing!"
is extreme in the least. I can more easily believe the picture of the Virgin Mary on the baking sheet than I can believe that "Every child" was traumatized!

I have never commented on a news article before but this is over the top and out of controll. Guadalupe Rodriguez needs to be FIRED and black listed so she cannot work with children again. Children do not need to be exposed to this cult wierdness! There is a strong constitutional division between church and state for good reason and this is totally illegal as well as extremely offensive. The school that sanctions this illegal activity should have its federal funding and licence removed and the school officials prosecuted. Every child in that school has been deluded and traumatized by this in ways that they are incapable of recognizing! Where are the police? Where are the courts to protect the civil rights of these poor kids? The cult of the virgin mary is destructive nonsense from the dark ages. And has absolutely no place in or near schools.

One week back in Uganda, the same incident is believed to have happened in northern Uganda where we are facing war and its associated impacts. People reported that Jesus appeared on a camel blessing them with peace in that area. People are now conviced that the war is comming to an end although the peacetalks are still on hold by the Lord's Resistance Army.
I would like to be recieving articles on religious matters especially catholicism. Thanks!
