Sunderland, UK - Fabio Capello warned England fans that their route to Euro 2012 will not be easy, but admitted Sunday's draw could have been much worse for his side. England were grouped with Switzerland, Bulgaria, Wales and Montenegro, with only the top team guaranteed qualification for the finals in Poland and Ukraine.
The best runner-up of the nine groups will go through automatically, with the other eight to play-off for the four remaining spots.
"Montenegro, Bulgaria and Switzerland are really, really good teams," said Capello.
"And Wales is my first derby as manager of the national team. Wales have a very young team but the value of the players is high.
"All these four opponents are really dangerous. Switzerland have qualified for the World Cup and are one of the best teams now.
"I remember when I played against Switzerland it was not easy to win away."
Capello admitted, though, hat the group featuring Germany, Turkey, Austria, Belgium, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan was tougher than England's.
"The worst group was group A, and we play in group G," he said.
"It's a tough group because all the games will be really, really strong games.
"I prefer the smaller [five-team] group because we play less games. But the group is very tough.
"I have confidence in my team. I'm sure we will play fantastic qualification for the Euros."
