Cape Town - Germany players won't have to miss their family and friends at the 2010 World Cup as they will have the chance to reside close to the team hotel in South Africa. "We have reserved a hotel nearby," said coach Joachim Loew on Friday ahead of the World Cup group draw in Cape Town.
Loew said it was up to each player whether he wanted to have family members and friends around at the June 11-July 11, 2010, tournament.
Loew said that the team leadership had a positive impression of the presence of relatives and friends close to the players at previous big tournaments such as the 2006 World Cup.
