Bangkok- A prominent Thai businesswoman was shot dead Sunday outside the luxury housing project in Bangkok she had helped develop. Sunattee Nerngchamnong was shot by a hooded assassin in a grey T- shirt after she had briefly stopped over at the site office of the complex.
"As soon as she drove by, he opened fire," police said, citing
security guards who had witnessed the killing. The gunman fled on a waiting green motorcycle as soon as he stopped firing, a police spokesman added.
The Thai tennis star Paradorn Srichaphan is one of the stars who has lived in the Prime Nature Villa luxury housing project.
Nerngchamnong received several gunshot wounds and died later in hospital.
The billionaire left behind her husband, a former deputy metropolitan police commissioner, and three children.
