Los Angeles - California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has been slapped with a lien by the federal government after allegedly failing to pay almost 80,000 dollars in back taxes, according to celebrity website TMZ.com Friday. Documents released by the site showed the Internal Revenue Service filed the lien against the former action movie star for failure to pay just over 39,000 dollars in 2004 taxes, and just over 40,000 dollars in taxes the following year.
News of the lien caps a series of violations involving the moderate Republican governor in his last year in office. Last week he was spotted parking his Porsche in a red zone in Beverly Hills while his wife Maria Shriver has recently been caught several times talking on her cellphone while driving.
