Pisa, Italy - Five people were killed Monday when an Italian military transport airplane crashed near Pisa in central Italy, officials said. The Lockheed C130J was on a training flight when it crashed, Italy's Defence Minister Ingazio La Russa said in a message of condolence for the five crew members.
The cause of the crash, which happened shortly after take-off, was not immediately clear.
