Elle Macpherson enjoys raising her two sons alone but works hard to keep links with her family in Australia.
Elle Macpherson claims life as a single mother is "full of laughter".
The Australian supermodel - who has sons Flynn Alexander, 11, and six-year-old Aurelius Cy Andrea with her former partner Arpad Busson - doesn't mind raising them alone because she gets to spend a lot of quality time with them.
She said: "Family life with the boys is loving, structured and consistent to create stability. There is a lot of laughter in our lives.
"I believe children's lives are made up of experiences, not of materiality specifically. It's not the toys they remember, but the time we spend together learning to ride their bicycle or camping trips or toasting marshmallows.
Although the 45-year-old beauty's career is based many miles away from her hometown, she works hard to maintain her relationships with her loved ones in Australia.
She said: "Australia means my family first and foremost - my parents and my brothers and sisters. I think a lot of my strengths in life have come from my Australian education. I love the people and I love the fact that everywhere you look you have a 360-degree view. There are no obstructions."
"The boys go back to Australia once a year and connect with their grandparents and aunts and uncles and our heritage."
