Hamburg - AC Milan and Real Madrid played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in the Champions League Tuesday while the troubles continue to mount for Louis van Gaal as Bayern Munich crashed at home to now qualified Girondins Bordeaux. Chelsea, Porto and Manchester United also booked their places in the knockout phase even though both English sides could only manage draws.
Real went into the clash at the Giuseppe Meazza looking for revenge for the 3-2 defeat in the reverse fixture at the Bernabeu two weeks ago but had to be satisfied with a share of the spoils.
In an evenly balanced opening period, Karmim Benzema had the first opportunity of note after 19 minutes but the French international striker's shot from the edge of the area sneaked wide of Dida's left- hand post.
Iker Casillas had to be at his best to deny Alexandre Pato at the other end four minutes later before Benzima eventually broke the deadlock on 29 minutes, slotting home from close range after Dida failed to hold a shot from Kaka.

Girondins Bordeaux secured qualification from Group A after stunning Bayern Munich 2-0 at home.
Yoann Gourcuff netted the opening goal of the game after 37 minutes at the Allianz Arena, heading home a longe-range Wendel free- kick after ghosting past his marker Mark van Bommel.
Marouane Charmakh completed Bayern's misery in the 89th minute, taking advantage of a mistake from Holger Badstuber and Bayern goalkeeper Hans-Joerg Butt to make it 2-0.
"We took a lot of risks in the second half. We can't fault ourselves in the second half but certainly in the first," said Bayern captain Van Bommel.
Bordeaux move on to 10 points from four games, two clear of Juventus, who beat Maccabi Haifa 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Mauro Camoranesi. Bayern languish out of the qualifying places in third place on four points.
Manchester United came from two goals down at home to CSKA Moscow to salvage a 3-3 draw and book their places in the next round as well as avoiding their first defeat at Old Trafford in European competition since a February 2005 loss to AC Milan.
Alan Dzagoyev opened the scoring for the visitors after 25 minutes from the narrowest of angles and although Michael Owen equalized shortly afterwards for United, Milos Krasic restored the Russian side's lead shortly after the half-hour mark.

Atletico Madrid scored the first goals of their Group D campaign but still had to be satisfied with a 2-2 draw at home to English Premier League leaders Chelsea.
Sergio Aguero put the home side in front after 66 minutes with a superbly-struck volley that gave Blues goalkeeper Petr Cech no chance. However, two late goals from Didier Drogba put Chelsea in control before a late Aguero strike made it 2-2.
Chelsea still qualify for the next phase as do Porto who beat APOEL Nicosia 1-0.
The Champions League continues Wednesday with matches in Groups E- H.
