First swine flu death reported in Slovenia

Ljubljana- Slovenia reported its first death from swine flu after an elderly woman succumbed to the illness, local media reported Tuesday. The woman, between 50 to 60 years old, was admitted to Ljubljana hospital on Friday, where her condition deteriorated rapidly. So far 282 people in Slovenia have been diagnosed with the H1N1 influenza. Health authorities have said that up to 25 per cent of the 2 million population could catch the H1N1 virus.
