Rome - Marek Hamsik scored a brace as Napoli claimed a memorable 3-2 comeback win at Juventus Turin in the Serie A weekend opener on Saturday. A great header from David Trezeguet and a defence blunder seemed to have sealed a 2-0 win from Juventus, but the visitors from Naples did even better than the incredible rally they produced in a 2-2 draw with AC Milan in mid-week.

Juve's early attack bursts caused major problems to Napoli as Sebastian Giovinco fired wide in the first minute when Mauro Camoranesi set him up for a face-to-face with the well-positioned Morgan De Sanctis.

Argentine German Denis brought a first threat for Napoli on seven minutes as he missed a cross from Cristian Maggio to begin a good offensive phase for Napoli.

On 20 minutes, Salvatore Aronica forced Gianluigi Buffon's great save with a long-range drive and on the following corner Denis missed an easy header.

Denis failed to nod home another corner kick in the 23rd, highlighting some worrisome indecision in Juve's defence.

Brazilian Felipe Melo dithered before firing wide on 27 minutes before Juve went ahead in the 35th from Trezeguet's header off a cross from Zdenek Grygera.

An incredible mistake from Matteo Contini allowed Juve's second goal on 54 minutes as the defender nodded a harmless cross into the path of Giovinco, who flicked home without problems.

But Napoli levelled in the following 10 minutes through an impressive pressing game that gave them a third win from the four games played with new coach Walter Mazzarri.

The Slovak Hamsik slammed home a cross from the just-fielded Argentine Datolo that rolled past the whole defence package. Buffon was beaten again despite incredibly blocking a close-range header from Denis, before Datolo flicked home for 2-2.

Hamsik then scored the winner with nine minutes left, topping a counter-attack with a smashing shot as Portugal's Tiago produced an uncertain clearance in the area.

The remaining minutes of sterile attacking from Juve were soured when Brazil substitute Amauri was dismissed for fouling De Sanctis.

Juve remained on 21 points from 11 games, four behind leaders Inter Milan, who visit lowly Livorno on Sunday. Napoli are now fourth on 17 points next to in-form newcomers Parma, who later Saturday play at struggling giants AC Milan, trailing on 16.
