London - High demand for its flu vaccine, Pandemrix, gave British pharmaceuticals company GlaxoSmithKline a strong boost in the third quarter, with sales of 1.1 billion pounds (1.8 billion dollars), the company reported Wednesday. About 25 million doses of the virus, designed to ward off the A(H1N1) swine flu virus, have been delivered. About 440 million doses have been ordered. The company also plans to donate 50 million doses to the World Health Organization to help fight the pandemic.
