Washington - A next generation space rocket blasted off over the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida on Wednesday. The 100-metre tall Ares I-X rocket sped into the sky over the Florida coast in a trial that NASA hoped would provide crucial information about technology that is to replace the ageing space shuttle fleet.
