Wiesbaden, Germany - Ukrainian heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko has agreed to act as an ambassador for Germany's bid to host golf's Ryder Cup in 2018. Klitschko, who holds three heavyweight titles, is based in Germany and has become a keen golfer since taking up the sport some four years ago.
"Although I am a Ukrainian I have achieved my greatest success in Germany where I have lived for many years and where I feel at home," he told the German Ryder Cup bid website.
