Zurich - Portugal and Russia will be the happiest teams following the World Cup play-off draw involving European teams made Monday at FIFA headquarters in Zurich. In a seeded draw that divided the eight teams according to FIFA rankings, Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal were pitted against Bosnia- Herzegovina while Russia will take on Slovenia, the lowest-ranked team in the draw.
France face a tricky match against Ireland although the 2006 World Cup finalists have the advantage of playing the return leg at home.
Unseeded Ukraine will also be satisfied after drawing Euro 2004 winners Greece, who are considered the weakest of the top teams.
First-leg ties will be played on Saturday, November 14 with the return legs taking place on Wednesday, November 18.
The winners of the four play-offs qualify for the 2010 finals in South Africa, which take place June 11 to July 11.
