Paris - Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is among the 50 players shortlisted for this year's European Footballer of the Year award. Last year's winner is joined be Madrid teammate Karim Benzema, while rivals and reigning European and Spanish champions Barcelona have six representatives, including 2008 runner-up Lionel Messi.
Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs and teammates Wayne Rooney and Nemanja Vidic are listed while Chelsea also have three players in contention - Frank Lampard, John Terry and Didier Drogba. Ryan Giggs.
