Washington - Need to create a website for a team project? Google now makes it easy with Google Sites (http://sites.google.com). Sites can be customised to provide the features your team needs. You can add calendars, upload documents, share and collaborate on files, and include videos. The site you create can be private or shared with the world. Sites are free. --------

Washington - What's the most important component of your computer workstation? It could be your chair. A good chair supports proper positioning and posture while you are at your computer - and it could help you to avoid injuries caused by improper posture. Ideally, you should use a chair with the following adjustment capabilities: height, arm rest, back, and seat tilt.

Washington - Want to protect your computer equipment while keeping it clean at the same time? Consider covering your printer, keyboard, and other exposed computer gear when not in use - especially if you'll be away for some time. Dust can be not only difficult to remove completely from computer equipment - enough of it can cause overheating of some components. You can buy special equipment covers at the store or you can just use a household towel.

--------

Washington - Having internet connectivity issues with your wireless router? The majority of problems can be solved by restarting your router and modem. Turn both devices off, if they are separate, and then turn the modem back on, waiting for green lights of connectivity. Then power up your router. These are often the first steps that technical support personnel will have you perform if you report trouble that they cannot verify from their end.

Washington - If Internet Explorer gets sluggish or unresponsive, cast an eye toward plug-ins that may be causing the problem. IE 8 makes it easy to manage plug-ins - some of which might have been installed without your knowledge. Open the Tools menu and click Manage Add-ons. The resulting dialogue box will show you at a glance what's running in your browser and you'll have the option of disabling plug-ins to troubleshoot problems.
