Madrid - Real Madrid announced on Wednesday that Christoph Metzelder will be out of action for around 10 days. The German central defender suffered a twisted external lateral ligament in his right ankle in training on Tuesday, and will miss Saturday's league game against Valladolid and next Wednesday's Champions League clash with AC Milan. Metzelder, 28, has been plagued by injury since joining Real in 2007 from Borussia Dortmund. He has been out injured for 208 days since arriving in Madrid, missing 39 games in the process. Real's other injury victims at the moment are Cristiano Ronaldo, Alvaro Arbeloa, Fernando Gago, Guti and Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
