Milan, Italy - Italian police have arrested two more suspects in connection with a bomb attack Monday at an army barracks in Milan, officials said Tuesday. Monday's explosion at the Santa Barbara barracks left the suspected bomber, a Libyan man identified as Mohamed Game, seriously injured.

A soldier, who reportedly attempted to prevent Game entering the barracks, was slightly hurt in the blast.

Investigators believe that the two suspects taken into custody overnight - another Libyan national and an Egyptian man - may have helped Game plan the attack at the barracks.

Police also seized around 40 kilograms of fertilizer and other materials which, according to Milan prosecutor Armando Spataro, could have been used to manufacture explosive devices.

It is not clear what may have motivated the three to allegedly stage the attack. None of the suspects has been implicated in past investigations by authorities monitoring extremist activity in the northern Italian city, news reports said.

Game has lived in Italy legally since 2003 and, together with his partner, an Italian woman, is the parent of two children, the reports said.
