Denmark's historic hotels form network

Copenhagen - Denmark has inaugurated a new network of 13 historic hotels. They include Sonderho Kro on the North Sea island of Fano which was built in 1722. All of the hotels in the network were built before 1940 and have a minimum of three stars each. (www.visitdenmark.com)

Bobsleighing in Jamaica: Caribbean island opens park to night visitors

Kingston, Jamaica - Holidaymakers visiting Jamaica can now access the islands Mystic Mountain adventure park at night. Among the attractions is a floodlit bobsled track that runs through the rainforest. From the park's hilltop there is a view from 200 metres down upon the city of Ocho Rios on the north coast. Havasu waterfalls re-open to public

Phoenix, Arizona - Havasu Canyon, a side spur of the Grand Canyon, and its famous waterfall can now be visited on foot after it was closed following heavy rains last year. The canyon's paths and trails were washed away during the 2008 downpour. Havasu waterfall is sacred to the indigenous Havasupai people but is open to paying visitors. (www.havasupaitribe.com)

Sri Lanka opens new museum at Sigiriya

Colombo - A new museum has been opened at the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya in Sri Lanka with a display of archaeological findings. The rock extends 200 metres above a plateau and is one of the country's most popular attractions thanks to its over 1,500-year-old ruined landscape. (www.sigiriyamuseum.org)
