Hamburg - Italian singer and actress Maria Ilva Biolcati, better known as Milva, has criticized Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi on a German television programme to be aired Monday. "He is a poor madman, who doesn't understand anything any more," the 70-year-old told German ARD state television.
"He simply is not intelligent. He thinks he is better than others, but he is not," said the red-headed star whose performances span six decades.
The Italian entertainer said Berlusconi's government was dangerous for her country.
"There are people who have no political common sense and just think of themselves," Milva said in the programme, to be broadcast Monday evening.
The politics in Rome made her consider leaving the country, she added.
"Italy is simply unbearable. Maybe I will live in Zurich, in Berlin or somewhere else in Germany," Milva said.
