Kuala Lumpur - The third of three siblings stung by hornets in Malaysia's eastern state of Sarawak on Borneo island has died, news reports said Wednesday. Chen Sze Ting, 8, died late Tuesday without waking from a coma.

The girl, together with her uncle, mother and a younger brother and sister, had been severely stung by hornets while taking a walk near their home on Saturday.

Her six-year-old sister and three-year-old brother died hours after the attack while her mother remains in critical condition in the state hospital's intensive care unit, the Star online news portal said.

Chen's uncle has recovered and has been released from hospital, it said.

The report said relatives have yet to decide on the date of the funeral for the three young children, as they hope the children's mother would be able to bid a final farewell to them.
