Hamburg - SV Hamburg and Peru forward Paolo Guerrero remains sidelined for several months over a severe knee injury, according to the Hamburger Abendblatt daily. The report, made available ahead of Tuesday's publication, said that Guerrero underwent surgery on a damaged meniscus in the United States, but not on a ruptured cruciate ligament.
Guerrero, 25, sustained the injury last month. If all goes well he could be back in early February, but Hamburg officials are also not ruling out the possibility that he will miss the rest of the season.
