Geneva - On the sidelines of the six party talks with Iran in Geneva, United States Under Secretary of State William Burns met Wednesday with the chief Iranian negotiator Saeed Jalili, officials confirmed. State Department spokesman Robert Wood said the meeting took place on the margins of the larger talks, which Western states hope will focus on Tehran's nuclear ambitions. Wood gave no further details on the content of the discussion, which are deemed the highest level bilateral talks between the Islamic republic and the US in 30 years.
