Actress claims affair with her father from Mamas and Papas
Los Angeles - Actress Mackenzie Phillips opened up Wednesday about an affair with her father in a script too weird even for the television soap opera genre in which she once starred.
In excerpts from her autobiography High Arrival, Phillips, 49, said she had a 10-year incestuous affair with her father, John Phillips, who was a singer with the 1960s band The Mamas and the Papas. She said that she even had sex with her father the night before she got married in 1979 at age 19.
"My father was not a man with boundaries," Phillips wrote. "He was full of love, and he was sick with drugs. I woke up that night to find myself having sex with my own father."
Phillips has her own long history of drug abuse and claimed that her father introduced her to heroin.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, she said the sexual relationship eventually became consensual but felt it was a betrayal and an "abuse of power" by her father. However, she forgave him on his deathbed in 2001.

Brady, Bundchen sued by photographers
New York - Supermodel Giselle Bundchen and her quarterback husband have been slapped with a million-dollar lawsuit by two photographers who claim they were shot at by the couple's bodyguards in April in Costa Rica.
The lawsuit claimed that the guards opened fire when the photographers refused to hand over cameras and memory cards that contained pictures they had snapped of the couple at their post- wedding party. The shots shattered the rear windshield of the photographers' vehicle and narrowly missing their heads, the lawsuit alleged.
