New York - Actor John Travolta testified for the first time Wednesday about the death of his 16-year-old son in January in the Bahamas. Travolta, 55, was appearing in court in Nassau, Bahamas in the case against paramedic Tarino Lightbourne and former Bahamas senator Pleasant Bridgewater, who are charged with trying to extort 25 million dollars from Travolta to refrain from leaking details about the traumatic incident. The pair have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
According to a report by celebrity website TMZ.com from the courtroom, Travolta revealed that his son Jett suffered from autism and a severe seizure disorder. On the day of his death on January 2, Travolta tried to perform CPR on the youth but to no avail, he told the court.
