New York - US President Barack Obama said Wednesday that Iran and North Korea must be held "accountable" for any nuclear activities that violate international norms. Speaking before the opening of the UN General Assembly, Obama emphasized that he was committed to resolving the disputes with the two nations diplomatically but warned their nuclear ambitions threaten to destabilize East Asia and the Middle East. "The world must stand together to demonstrate that international law is not an empty promise, and that treaties will be enforced. We must insist that the future not belong to fear," Obama said.
