London - The Manchester United football team confirmed on Monday that midfielder Park Ji-Sung has agreed a three-year extension to his contract. The South Korea international, who joined the club from PSV Eindhoven in 2005, is now tied to the club until 2012.
"Park and Man United agreed on a three-year deal," said a statement released by JS Limited, who were negotiating for the player.
"The contract will expire June 30, 2012. But we can't reveal the salary due to a mutual agreement."
The 28-year-old has played in a variety of positions, racking up 25 Premier League matches last season.
