Monza - Sebastian Vettel, Kimi Raikkonen and Giancarlo Fisichella are all hoping for a repeat performance at Sunday's Italian Grand Prix in Monza. Raikkonen and Fisichella would - no doubt - be happy with a repeat performance of the Belgian Grand Prix two weeks ago, when they finished one-two, while Vettel, who was third in Belgium, is looking to repeat his 2008 Monza victory.
In Belgium, "Fisico" was a sensational second for the struggling Force India team, this time around he will be driving for Ferrari in place of Luca Badoer, who lost his place after two unsuccessful rides driving for the injured Felipe Massa.
Raikkonen is certainly the man to watch and has picked up 25 points from the last three races - more than any other driver.
Ahead of the final race in Europe the Finn said on the blog he writes for Ferrari that he was looking forward to Monza.
"We want to go on like this in the final races of the season, trying to stay on the podium," he said.
"It's one of the most important races of the year, because we race in front of our fans and it would be great to give them satisfaction.
"I have never won a race in Italy, but I always liked racing at Monza. For me there's no extra pressure, but I know how much the team wants to have a great race here."
Raikkonen, whom many said only managed to beat Fisichella in Spa because of the speed-boosting KERS system, said the Monza track will suit the team.
"The KERS should help us just like in Spa. You need to use the kerbs well and this wasn't the strong point of our cars in recent years."
Raikkonen said that he was looking forward to racing alongside Fisichella.
"I always got along very well with him. He's one of the most expert drivers and we will give our best to help Ferrari keep third place in the constructors' championship," he said.
For Vettel, whom many believe to be the driver with the best chances of catching championship leader Jenson Button, Sunday's race reminds him of his first Grand Prix victory: Last year in Monza with the uncompetitive Toro Rosso team.
"Without a doubt, Monza 2008 is one of my best memories, as it was where I scored my first F1 win, after taking my very first F1 pole," he said.
"It was a perfect weekend and one I will remember always, whatever else I achieve during my career."
Vettel is currently third in the standings behind the Brawn GP duo of Button and Rubens Barrichello. Button has 72 points, the Brazilian 56, while Vettel is on 53. His Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber stands on 53.5.
Under normal circumstances, Button - with a 16 points lead - would feel confident of winning the title. But after winning six of the opening seven races and finishing third in the other, he has failed to finish on the podium in the next five races and in Belgium had to retire for the first time.
The 29-year-old Briton is looking forward to racing in Monza on the weekend.
"Monza is a fantastic track and I love the passion that the Italian fans bring to the race weekend," he said.
"The circuit is very different to most of the circuits that we race on as the car will be set up with the lowest levels of drag and downforce possible to take advantage of the long straights.
"It always takes a few laps to get used to and as we haven't tested at Monza this season, the practice sessions will be very important.
"It's a circuit that should be reasonably good for our car if we get the handling right over the kerbs so we are feeling positive and excited about the challenge."
