Vienna - US singers Mary J Blige and Chris Brown are among the artists to perform at a tribute concert for Michael Jackson in Vienna, the late popstar's brother Jermaine announced Tuesday in Austria's capital. Michael Jackson's children as well as his mother Katherine are planning to attend the event on September 26, which will be staged in front of the Schoenbrunn palace, organizers said.

Other US singers to perform Jackson's greatest hits include Jermaine Jackson, Akon, Natalie Cole and Angela Bassett, as well as the soul formation Sister Sledge.

Bassett is known not only for her singing, but also as an actress who has portrayed Jackson's mother for a US television series, as well as Tina Turner in What's Love Got to Do with It.

Some Austrian media expressed disappointment that no superstars had signed up for the only official tribute for the late "King of Pop."

"Jackson tribute: Stars still missing," ran the headline for an online story by Austrian public broadcaster ORF.

Media had speculated that Madonna or the band U2 would perform.

Organizers said the roster of artists included 20 or 25 names and the remaining singers would be made public later this week.

Michael Jackson died June 25 at the age of 50 from an overdose of a powerful anaesthetic.
