Stockholm - A six-year-old boy survived a fall from the sixth storey of an apartment building in the western Swedish city of Gothenburg when a passer-by broke the fall, reports said Saturday. The bystander spotted the boy hanging from the window sill, and probably saved the boy's life by breaking the fall as he attempted to catch the youngster, police told the Goteborgs-Posten newspaper.
Two police officers alerted from outside rushed into the flat only to see the boy had already fallen, the newspaper reported. The boy was reported to be in stable condition.
His parents were also in the flat, but had not been aware of what he was up to. Police said they were treating the case as an accident.
