London - Sarah Ferguson, the former wife of Britain's Prince Andrew, has reportedly paid three outstanding bill after her creditors went to court. A spokeswoman of Ferguson, who is Duchess of York, confirmed that three small businesses had made claims to retrieve 21,539 pounds (35,218 dollars).

She said court action had been taken but the duchess had no "financial concerns." A statement appeared to place the blame on the duchess' staff.

"The Duchess of York employs staff including accountants. As far as her personal finances are concerned, this is a private matter."

The 49-year-old mother of two, who was granted a 2-million-pound divorce settlement in 1996, draws income from books, including her her biography, as well as from a series of TV chat shows, lectures and a contract as representative of slimming experts WeightWatchers.
