New York - Troubled soul diva Whitney Houston apologized for her spotty vocal performance in her first live show after a seven- year absence marked by a messy divorce and drug allegations. Houston sang four songs Tuesday in Central Park for the TV show Good Morning America. The concert for some 5,000 fans came as she prepares to release her new album, Just Whitney.
Even on stage, she acknowledged that she wasn't at her old best as she missed some notes and sounded somewhat sore.
"I'm sorry," she told the crowd, blaming her vocal problems on the Oprah Winfrey Show that she had taped a day earlier. "I have been talking for so long. ... I talked so much. ... When I'm talking, I should be singing."
