Madrid - The high-speed rail link between Madrid and southern Spain has been mostly re-established following heavy rains, the national rail company Renfe said Wednesday. Some delays were still occurring on the line connecting the capital with Seville and Malaga, however.
High-speed AVE trains on the line stopped operating for nearly 20 hours on Tuesday because of flooding.
Nearly 70 trains failed to depart or were delayed, affecting more than 8,000 passengers.
Renfe said it was offering bus services to passengers who were still affected.
