Paris - The French car maker Peugeot is planning to debut its new seven seater 5008 compact van at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September with a European sales launch scheduled for early next year. Built on the same platform as the 308 and 3008 model range, the new van features seven seats in three rows that can be varied according to load requirements.
Second row passengers will have the enjoyment of a multimedia system with two 7-inch screens located in the back of the head restraints.
Other options include a park assist measuring parking space with sensors located on the sides of the bumpers. A Head-Up Display provides the driver with information such as speed, cruise control and distance alert.
Two petrol engines are planned with an output of 88 kW/120 hp and 110 kW/150 hp respectively. The diesel versions come with 81 kW/110 hp and the choice of either a 110 kW/150 hp or 120 kW/163 hp version.
It measures 4.53 metres in length with a height of 1.69 metres with a load volume of up to 2,500 litres.
Peugeot has so far not revealed any prices.
