Washington - A Continental Airlines plane made an emergency landing early Monday in Miami, Florida after the plane was hit by extreme turbulence, injuring 26 passengers, the TV news network CNN reported. CNN said four of the passengers were so badly injured they had to be taken to hospital.
The plane, with 168 person on board, was on a flight from Rio de Janeiro to Houston, Texas, when it flew into a storm and experienced extreme turbulence.
