Sydney - Australians were Friday urged to avoid travel to Indonesia following bomb blasts at two Jakarta hotels that killed at least nine people and injured dozens more. Politicians condemned the attacks, with Prime Minister Kevin Rudd saying "any terrorist attack anywhere is an attack on us all" and that "any terrorist attack on our friends in Indonesia is an attack on our neighbours."
Opposition Liberal Party leader Malcolm Turnbull said the "bombings indicate there are those who remain unwilling to accept the desire of the Indonesian people, for a free, open and tolerant society."
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said that it had received advice that terrorists could be planning more attacks, particularly on the island of Bali.
"We advise you to reconsider your need to travel to Indonesia, including Bali, at this time due to the very high threat of terrorist attack," the advisory said.
