Hamburg - German figure skater Sascha Rabe, in an interview published on Thursday, has attacked the German skating federation DEU and called for the resignation of one of its leading officials over sexual harassment claims. Rabe, 23, told Die Welt that sports director Udo Doensdorf harassed him in the summer of 2007 and that the DEU aims to sweep the affair under the rug.
"Mr Doensdorf is not tolerable in his position ... The way they are treating me is impossible. Officials count more than athletes for them, but it is the athletes who make up the sport. I can not understand this ignorance," Rabe said.
