German zoo renames monkey, admits 'Obama' insensitive

Dresden,Germany - A German zoo changed the name of one of its monkeys Friday from! "Obama" to "Okeke" after a black group warned the original name implied a racial slur. The newborn mandrill was named Obama this March, in honour, zookeepers said, of US President Barack Obama. A Dresden Zoo spokesman said the new name took effect Friday and confirmed a report in an English-language website, The Local. Obama visited Dresden last month. Tahir Della of the Initiative for Black Germans (ISD) was quoted saying, "Black people continue to be confronted by associations with the animal kingdom and primitivity." The zoo said it choses names beginning with the same letter for all newborn animals in any one year. In 2009 that letter was O and a keeper thought "Obama" would be a positive tribute to the US president. The Local said the zoo had initially apologized for any upset but had not taken any action over the protest.

Patrick Nwokoye Okeke, a Nigerian politician is o.k.?
Or is it the zoo's way of saying
"Let's see if those schwarzes did their homework and know what or who Okeke is.

So it's OK to name the monkey after Patrick Nwokoye Okeke-Ojiudu, who was a Nigerian Politician in the 60's, who was also black?? All these groups are the real racists. Lets see what would happen if the IWA (Iniatative for White Americans) came into existance. Sounds pretty racist to me.

As a German, I am so tired of the German people being assualted by every minority group in existance. Every few months Germany is forced to errect another memorial. Last I checked the history books, the Turks killed four million Armenians during WW I. And how many million American Indians were killed so that the United States could fullfill its "Manifest Destiny"? War is hell and it has been going on since the dawn of man.
