Munich - Bayern Munich are on the lookout for a right-back to add to their signings ahead of the new Bundesliga season, club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told Sport1.de on Friday. Rummenigge said Bayern were interested in Portugal international Jose Bosingwa, describing him as "an interesting man as he is one of the best in Europe in this position."
He added: "Whether it is possible (to sign him) at the end of the day is up to Chelsea where he has a long-term contract. And whether he would be released for an affordable sum one would have to see."
On Franck Ribery, linked with Real Madrid, Chelsea and other leading European clubs, Rummenigge said he was optimistic the France midfielder "will be on the pitch for our first game against Hoffenheim."
Rummenigge said he expected further changes to the squad before the start of the season. Apart from possible new signings "some players will probably be leaving the club."
