Goodwood, England - The new Rolls-Royce Ghost has not even made its official debut, but potential buyers can already configure a personal version of the "baby Roller" online. The company's website "visualiser" gives a detailed preview of the exquisite automobile which has been seen at car salons in Geneva and Shanghai this year but not in the showrooms. It will probably be launched at this autumn's Frankfurt Motor Show.

The feature allows users to click on an image of the stylish limousine and choose from a variety of colours and sumptuous trim options, including bold deep purple and metallic turquoise paintwork. Customers can combine these shades with a bonnet sprayed in contrasting satin silver.

These new hues hint at a different clientele for the Mercedes S-class-sized limousine which is the first entry-level model from Rolls-Royce. Company CEO Tom Purves said the new car will "be as refined and as cosseting as anything that this marque has ever produced" with "impeccable poise."

The Ghost, with its distinctive rear-opening coach doors, will be built in Goodwood in Britain on a dedicated production line but shares paint, wood and leather workshops with the Phantom range of cars.
