Man dies and 50 people rescued in Hong Kong fire

Hong Kong - A man died and three people were injured in a fire in a Hong Kong high-rise Monday. A total of 50 people had to be rescued by firefighters when the fire broke out on the first floor of residential block in the Tsim Sha Tsui area of the city at around 6 am, a government official said. Firefighters took almost four hours to control the blaze and to rescue residents, some of whom were screaming for help from the higher floors of the building. An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
