Amman - The Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly (EMPA) on Saturday rebuked Israel over measures being taken to "Judaize" East Jerusalem as "obstacles" to peace, and urged the Jewish state to resume peace talks with the Palestinians on the basis of the two-state vision. "In the light of these most recent developments, the EMPA expresses its deep concerns considering them as obstacles (to) the peace process, which we are hopeful will go back on track to lead to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East that puts an end to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict through the two-state solution," the EMPA said. The remarks were issued issued in a statement at the end of a meeting in Amman that was chaired by the speaker of Jordan's lower house of parliament, Abdul Hadi Majali, in his capacity as current EMPA president. The two-state solution, the meeting said, should give birth to an "independent, sovereign and viable Palestinian state that lives with Israel as neighbours and to the best interests of both peoples, in particular, and peoples of the region, in general."

EMPA don't know history. They don't know that Jerusalem was already the capital of a Jewish State about 3000 years ago. EMPA "ignore" that Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Koran and that during the centuries of Muslim rule over Jerusalem, this city had neither political nor religious importance.
The EMPA of course ignore that the Jews were the majority of Jerusalem inhabitants and that they were chased by the Jordan Arab Legion in 1948 from their homes , that all their Synagogues were destroyed, their tombstones used as toilets by the Arabs
and they had no right to pray at their holiest site ,the Western Wall(together with the Temple Mount) until the liberation of the Old City by the Israeli troops in 1967.
The EMPA of course ignore that Jordan annexed the West Bank from 1948 to 1967 without any reaction from the international community and the UN but
they are quick to conemn Israel .

There is nothing that Netanyahu has proposed which prohibits such a possibility. Recall that Israel didn't have tanks or an Air Force when it came into being either. Israel is already 20% non-Jewish; an Arab state need not be Judenrein either.

Until the Arab states are willing to recognize that Israel IS a soverign country and is accepted as such by all, especially by the so-called Palestinians, there should can be no talks or offers by Israel of any land. It takes two to have an agreement. How can Israel give away anything that the rest of the Arab world doesn't believe belongs to them in the first place? The Arabs are not willing to agree to anything and actually have nothing to offer anyway, so what's in it for Israel? Look what happened in Gaza. How was that good for Israel? It wasn't!
