London - Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic lifted their second consecutive Wimbledon doubles title at the expense of top seeds Bob and Mike Bryan 7-6 (9-7), 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 Saturday. Serbia's Zimonjic and Nestor from Canada produced 121 winners and 25 aces in the victory, which marked their first match against the Americans in a Grand Slam.

It was the sixth time in seven meetings that Nestor and Zimonjic, second in the world, had beaten the twin brothers, including twice this spring in clay finals at Monte Carlo and Rome.

Zimonjic served it out with back-to-back aces in two hours, 42 minutes. The Canadian-Serbian team are thefirst pair to retain the doubles title since Jonas Bjorkman and Todd Woodbridge in 2004.

"Winning back-to-back Wimbledons is just unbelievable. It was a great feeling to come back to the club and see our nameson the plaque," said the 36-year-old Nestor, who has titles at all four of the majors.

"Nenad is one of the best doubles players on grass. I'm fortunate to be playing with him."

Nestor and Zimonjic ended 2008 atop the rankings by beating the Bryans in the final of the Masters Cup in Shanghai. The Americans have since taken back the top honour.

The Bryans own seven Grand Slam titles including the 2009 Australian Open. The trophy was the sixth for Nestor and Zimonjic this season.

The winners stand 29-6 at Slams and have never been beaten at Wimbledon, 12-0.
