Hamburg - Nimble fingers can be just as important as finding the right gel or other product when styling one's hair, the Hamburg hairdresser Marlies Moeller said. The amount of styling product used and its gentle distribution through the hair are basics of good styling, Moeller said, warning consumers to be careful with gels and waxes because they can reduce the volume of fine hair. It's better to put just a little bit between the fingers and to gently distribute it through the hair, she said. The fingers also can help emphasize a particular strand of hair or to define a certain area. "Put a bit of hairspray on your fingers before putting on a particular strand of hair to get it into place," she suggests.
