Sydney - An Australian drunk who drove into a backyard swimming pool in Perth was saved from drowning by householders awakened by the almighty splash, new reports said Wednesday. "The car was submerged when we got to it and he had to be pulled out by our neighbours and my son, who managed to open a door to get to him," Don Robins told the West Australian newspaper. Robins said the Lexus must have been travelling very fast because it smashed through two fences and was airborne before it hit the water. "I think it's going to be quite a repair bill for the driver," he said. The 27-year-old has been charged with drink driving, dangerous driving and driving without a licence.

I guess you could call the driver lucky.
Anyway, that was my grandparents pool. And my 8-year-old cousins were sleeping in a room close to the pool.
Lucky them aswell.
